This oversized Abigail Sweater Knitting Pattern features: drop shoulder, turtleneck, and slit hem. This sweater can match jeans, skirts, or to create a graceful and stylish look. Includes knitting pattern for the Abigail Sweater in seven sizes.
The back and front of this sweater are worked upwards in pieces from the lower edge. The sleeves are worked from top to the cuffs, and in rows. The sweater is knitted with Donegal Soft Merino Tweed fingering weight yarn, using two strands of yarn held together. You may only use one strand of worsted weight yarn. Be sure to check your gauge.
Techniques used in this pattern:
Tubular cast on, tubular bind off in the round, picking up stitches (the links to YouTube videos include in the pattern).
Intended to be worn with approximately 8-10”/20-25.5 cm of positive ease.

MATERIALS NEEDED:
Donegal Soft Merino Tweed (100% Merino wool; 3.5 oz/100g; 416yds/380m);
Fingering (4 ply / 14 wpi); using two strands of yarn held together;

(5585 Sunset) – approx. 1915 (2165, 2410, 2660) (2915, 3160, 3420) yds;
• US 7 / 4.50mm and US 8 / 5.00 mm straight knitting needles;
• US 7 / 4.50mm 16 in. / 40 cm long circular needle; OR SIZE TO OBTAIN GAUGE.
• Yarn needle.

GAUGE
17 sts and 26 rows to 4”/10 cm over Stockinette Stitch, using larger needles.
